Man fined RM2,500 for sending obscene video to woman colleague

Parking attendant sent her videos on three occasions at a shopping centre in Bukit Bintang.

KUALA LUMPUR: For sending pornographic videos to his female colleague, a parking attendant was fined RM2,500, in default three months’ jail by the Magistrate’s Court here today.

Magistrate Mahyudin Mohmad Som sentenced M Prabakaran, 29, after he pleaded guilty to the crime of insulting the modesty of a 37-year-old woman by sending her four pornographic videos.

Prabakaran was charged with committing the offence at a shopping centre in Bukit Bintang here on May 20 and 26 as well as on June 27.

The offence comes under Section 509 of the Penal Code which provides for a maximum jail sentence of five years or a fine or both.

The accused paid the fine.
