As its name suggests, it is handled by two sisters, one in charge of preparing Curry Mee, while the other takes the orders from customers. The Curry Mee from Air Itam Sister is well known for its homemade chili paste, special cuttlefish chili base and charcoal stove cooking. Definitely not your regular Curry Mee you find elsewhere.

The fragrant rice is tossed with yam and served with a bowl of pork innards (pork balls, pork intestines, pork slices, and so on) soup.

    The famous Penang Road Chendol is a good choice for you to quench your thirst after all your eating journey. Penang Road Chendol has been around for more than 80 years and is well known for its delicious Teochew Chendul. The Chendul joint has since expanded and now has a few branches all over. This bowl of cooling Teochew Chendol consists of green jelly in coconut milk, palm sugar syrup and red beans. Queue might be long but it is moving fast.

  • CY Choy Road Hokkien Mee

    The Hokkien Mee served at CY Choy Road Hokkien Mee is known for the aromatic and rich broth. Do not confused the Hokkien Mee with the ones served in Kuala Lumpur. The Penang version Hokkien Mee is a spicy soup based noodle. The soup is boiled with pork bones, prawn shells and chili paste for hours to get an aromatic soup based from the sweetness of the prawns and pork. A bowl of Hokkien Mee is usually served with either yellow noodles or vermicelli, hard boiled eggs, kangkung, pork slices, beansprouts, fried shallots and chili paste at the side.

    Siam Road Char Kueh Tiaw has over 50 years of history. The Char Kueh Tiaw served here comes with enough “wok hei” that gives it an oomph. Also, only the freshest ingredients, such as cockles, prawns, bean sprouts, chives and noodles are used when frying the Char Kueh Tiaw. Opt for duck eggs to give your Char Kueh Tiaw a richer taste, instead of normal chicken eggs. Do expect a long queue for your plate of Char Kueh Tiaw as it is famous and has appeared many times on numerous newspapers.
