KOTA KINABALU: Parti Warisan Sabah has dismissed a claim by Sabah Deputy Chief Minister Raymond Tan that DAP is trying to dominate seats negotiations among the opposition parties in the state.
“I advise Tan not to meddle in the oppositions’ affairs. We will sort out our own problems without having to listen to him or any other Barisan Nasional leader,” said Warisan vice-president, Junz Wong
Yesterday, Tan said Sabah DAP would not give up urban seats for Warisan and considered the Sabah-based party as the “rural boys”.
But Junz, who whon the Likas state seat for DAP in 2013, said Tan did not understand the oppositions’ desire to topple BN.
He said opposition parties were willing to compromise to ensure BN’s defeat.
“If that means Warisan will have to give up my seat, then so be it because we know DAP is strong there. The election is not about me but for Sabah and to kick Umno out of Sabah,” he said.
DAP bulldozing in Sabah will bring down opposition, says deputy CM
