Raja Muda Of Perlis Calls On People To Practise Healthy Lifestyle

PAUH PUTRA -- The Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail advised the people to be open minded, have a positive attitude and develop healthy lifestyle practices in daily living.

He said that by increasing physical movement such as walking 10,000 steps a day, can improve one's health without having to spend a lot in playing games like woodball.

"A healthy lifestyle is getting enough rest, quality sleep and a balanced diet that can improve and extend the quality of health," said Tuanku Syed Faizuddin.

He said this at the closing and prize presentation event of the Perlis Woodball Indoor Championship organised by the State Health Department at the Woodball court at the Syed Sirajuddin Areeb Putra Sports Complex, Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) here, Sunday.

Also present at the event was Raja Puan Muda Perlis Tuanku Hajah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil.

The Raja Muda, who is also the Patron of the Perlis Woodball Association, said that despite priority being given to disease prevention, practising a healthy lifestyle is still viewed lightly by some people.

On the spread of dengue, he said preventive activities and eradication of mosquito breeding grounds should be mobilised by community leaders by enlightening local residents of the risks involved.

The Woodball championship was the opening game for the Perlis woodball calendar for this year, and 248 participants from various government departments and agencies took part in it.
