BN: Don’t believe PH claims advance votes have been counted

BN's Eric See-To says advance votes for security forces and overseas voters will only be counted on May 9.

Eric See-To, deputy director of BN’s strategic communications team, says Pakatan is again taking advantage of the lack of knowledge of people about such matters.

KUALA LUMPUR: Barisan Nasional strategist Eric See-To has called on people not to believe Pakatan Harapan (PH) “propaganda” claiming that the votes from advance voting by security forces and citizens overseas have been counted and that this is heavily in favour of PH.

“Pakatan is again taking advantage of the lack of knowledge of the people about such matters.

“Please ignore such messages that pretend to know the results of the advance voters.”

The deputy director of BN’s strategic communications team said advance votes would only be counted on the actual polling date, May 9. Therefore, no one will know the results before that day.

“Advance voting on designated days before the actual election day allows police and military personnel to cast their ballots at their respective police stations and military camps.

“The ballot boxes will be locked away in secure locations until the polling day proper, when they will be tallied with the regular votes,” See-To added.
