KOTA KINABALU: Sabah BN chairman Musa Aman has announced that the coalition’s state manifesto will be launched on April 22 at the Likas Sports Complex multipurpose hall in Kota Kinabalu.

He said this after chairing a meeting attended by Sabah BN component leaders at his official residence in Sri Gaya today.

“The meeting went very well, in a friendly atmosphere. We discussed the issues in light of the coming election as a family, whereby everyone presented their views. We are unified in our cause and in facing the general election,” said Musa.

The meeting was attended by PBS president Joseph Pairin Kitingan, PBRS president Joseph Kurup, LDP president Teo Chee Kang, Upko acting president Madius Tangau, PBS deputy president Maximus Ongkili, Sabah Gerakan liaison chief Gordon Leong, Sabah MIC chairman V Johty, Sabah MCA deputy chief Francis Goh, Sabah BN secretary Rahman Dahlan and Sabah BN executive secretary Nizam Abu Bakar Titingan.

Musa is also expected to announce the BN candidates for the parliamentary and state seats after the manifesto has been launched.

“We will know for certain in due time. Usually the names will be revealed after the launching of the Sabah BN manifesto.

Rahman told reporters that MUsa, as Sabah BN chairman, would personally speak to each of the candidates and the aspiring candidates.

Rahman added that he was of being nominated to contest in Sepanggar parliamentary seat.

“Every fibre of my being says that I will be in Sepanggar. But politics is such that I could be here or defend my Kota Belud seat or maybe, I won’t even be standing, which is fine by me,” he said.

Rahman said he based his conviction about Sepanggar on the party’s instruction for him to go to the ground in the constituency.

He has been the Kota Belud MP for the past 10 years, winning the seat in the 2008 and 2013 general elections.
