SHAH ALAM: Siti Aisyah, the Indonesian woman who was accused of murdering Kim Chol, or Kim Jong Nam, the estranged elder brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, used baby oil in her pranks at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and klia2.

This came several days before Kim Chol died after his face was smeared with the VX nerve agent poison.

The pranks were said to have been committed by the accused on Feb 3, 7 and 11, 2017 before the “attack” on Jong Nam at klia2 on Feb 13, 2017.

Siti Aisyah was believed to have been paid US$550 (RM2,150) for it by a man known as Chang.

Chang, or Hong Song Sac, is one of four North Korean suspects in the high-profile case and is still at large.

He was introduced to Siti Aisyah on Jan 21, 2017 at the Phnom Penh Airport by a man named James, or Ri Ji U.

Counsel Gooi Soon Seng, who represented Siti Aisyah, 26, made these suggestions during the cross-examination of investigation officer ASP Wan Azirul Nizam Che Wan Aziz, 40, on the 30th day of the Jong Nam murder trial at the High Court here, and the ninth witness agreed with him.

Siti Aisyah and a Vietnamese woman Doan Thi Huong, 29, are charged with murdering Jong Nam with four others, who are still at large, at the departure hall at the klia2 in Sepang on Feb 13, 2017.

On Feb 7, 2017, the same day she committed a prank at KLIA, Siti Aisyah uploaded a posting on her Facebook account which read: “Last day shooting, hopefully given the trust, contract extended, even though tired but energised”.

Gooi presented the FB posting to the witness who replied: “I agree.”

Besides the prank in which she used baby oil, Siti Aisyah said in a statement that James asked her to smear lotion on the victim’s face from behind and immediately leave the location, and it would all be done at klia2.

Earlier, Wan Azirul disagreed with Gooi’s suggestion that Chang had asked Siti Aisyah to go to Macau, China, on Feb 8, 2017 to perform the prank, and had given her RM4,000 to buy the flight ticket.

However, the witness answered “not sure” to the counsel’s suggestion that her trip to Macau was cancelled.

On the connection between Siti Aisyah and Doan, the witness agreed with his suggestion that both women were not acquainted with each other and there were no closed circuit television recordings showing they spoke to each other at any point on the day of the “attack”.

Replying to Gooi’s question on whether Siti Aisyah’s DNA profile was found on Jong Nam’s body or clothes, the witness answered “no”.

The trial before Judge Azmi Ariffin continues on Feb 27.
